  • When I Come to Shore

    Watch the music video! A kinetic and painted piece built as part of my residency at Pier9/Instructables. I designed the kinetic movement and designed most of the pieces in TinkerCad, an online CAD program, and 3D printed them. The chain tensioner, sprockets, motor mount, and pillow blocks are build in this fashion. I painted the illustrations using a method I developed during my residency called Etched Line Watercolor. Pieces are drawn, digitized, then laser etched into watercolor paper and then painted. I also made a music video to accompany the piece. I wrote the song with my friend Aaron Shay of Seattle, and recorded the video the next week with Miss Roach and Joshua Lippman.
